LONDON TAXI CARD SCHEME FOR DISABLED PEOPLE LIVING IN LONDON

To qualify for the London taxicard scheme you must be in receipt of the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disabled Living Allowance, or the War Pension Mobility Allowance, or you must be Registered Blind, have the application form signed and stamped by your doctor and/or be assessed as to your degree of mobility. You must be resident in a London Borough.
To apply for a London Taxicard you should contact the ALG Mobility Unit, on 0207 484 2929 and ask for an application form. An information booklet, membership card (with booking number) and a list of various charges will be sent to you if you are accepted onto the scheme.
A number of Boroughs have their own application forms and the ALG Mobility Unit will give a contact number for them.
The scheme is not operated in Westminster . Westminster operates their own scheme.
The number of journeys allowed varies from borough to borough and you will be notified of your trip allocation when you receive your Taxicard.
